I am proud to present a standout project in my portfolio: the development of two captivating fashion films for the renowned Brazilian surf clothing brand, Long Island. These films were created as part of the brand's dynamic fashion campaigns, aligning with the unique ideas and visual identity of each collection. One film showcased the vibrant essence of the summer collection, while the other captured the captivating spirit of the winter collection.
For our summer movie, we wanted to go beyond a typical fashion film showcasing our brand's clothing. Instead, we aimed to capture the adventurous spirit of our brand by providing our models with GoPros to film from their own point of view, as if they were our customers experiencing our brand firsthand. Our objective was to create a movie with a compelling storytelling element that would not only engage our customers but also allow them to relate to and imagine themselves as part of the exciting adventure we were portraying.
Collaborating closely with the fashion department, I was involved in every aspect of the project's execution. Together, we conceptualized and crafted the creative concepts, ensuring they perfectly embodied the brand's vision and the character of each collection. Story board were meticulously curated to convey the desired aesthetics, guiding the entire production process.To bring these concepts to life, we undertook the comprehensive task of casting models, securing breathtaking locations, and assembling a talented team of photographers and videographers. We embarked on an exciting journey, capturing every moment of the campaign's development, from the behind-the-scenes adventures to the stunning visuals that would grace the final films.
Similarly, for our winter movie, we ventured into the wild scenery of a jungle, setting up a camp to capture the essence of adventure. Just like in our summer movie, we aimed to create a captivating storytelling experience that would transport our customers into the heart of the jungle. By immersing them in this thrilling environment, we wanted to evoke a sense of exploration, pushing the boundaries of a traditional fashion film. Our goal was to ignite the imagination of our viewers, allowing them to envision themselves as part of the exhilarating journey through the jungle, embracing the spirit of adventure that our brand embodies.
As the project progressed, I took on the responsibility of video editing, shaping the raw footage into compelling narratives that showcased the brand's clothing in their full glory. With a keen eye for detail and a deep understanding of the brand's identity, I crafted films that not only highlighted the garments but also conveyed the emotions and stories that resonate with Long Island's audience.
The culmination of our efforts resulted in two exceptional fashion films that seamlessly blended visuals, music, fashion and adventure. These films became powerful tools for the brand, shared across various social media channels to captivate and engage their audience.
